The New Mexico Lobos’ home football game on Saturday against Air Force has been postponed due to the death of Lobo defensive tackle Nahje Flowers on Tuesday morning.

On Wednesday, the Mountain West league office made the announcement after consulting with UNM athletic director Eddie Nuñez and officials from the U.S. Air Force Academy.

The game has been rescheduled for noon on Nov. 23 at Dreamstyle Stadium. That was originally an open week for both schools.

The University of New Mexico is not releasing any details about the death.

While we know how much readers count on Enchantment Sports to provide honest information that is slim in local sports media, we are not investigating Flowers’ death as we reorganize for 2020.

We hope to supply information about our future plans soon.

Here is a link to information the university is providing about the game and Flowers.
